HI.. my sister was diagonosed with TB meningitis 11 months ago and is under medication until NOVember this year, she has been fine without fever, headaches etc for the last 6 months but my quetsion is ..how often should we take an MRI scan to be on the safer side and are there any chances of getting the disease again?
TB meningitis can occur but there is no definitive time that's being allocated as to when you should repeat MRI. MRI is done at the end of treatment, to look at the improvement from medicine. This can be repeated if at all she gets symptoms at a later stage.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
