Does Tamoxifen Cause Hair Loss And Muscle Ache?

I am wondering if I should contact my doctor concerning the medicine Tamoxifen I have been taking for 1 year. I am experiencing some of the side effects such as hair thinning, muscle pain and for the last month I have had a yeast infection every other week that I have been treating with over the counter medicine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. Your concern regarding Tamoxifen is correct. One of the side effects of Tamoxifen is hair thinning. You can consult your physician regarding this. For the yeast infection you have to take a proper antifungal regime including an oral course and local application of antifungal cream. otherwise the infection will keep on recurring. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
