Does Tamoxifen Cause Hair Loss?
Does Tamoxifen cause Hair lose. I am a 3yr breast cancer survivor. 2 years from treatment (chemo and radiation) and 2 years from being on Tamoxifen (I have 3 years left). I was excited after treatment looking forward to my hair returning, but surprisingly it is still thinning and balding. is this normal?

There is hair loss in rare patients on tamoxifen. There is no known preventive treatment, but in some case , the hair loss is temporary.
If the hair loss becomes cosmetically unacceptable, then an alternative should be sought. There are other hormonal medications that can be used that my not cause hair loss.
You should speak directly with your physician so the pros and cons of changing medications can be discussed for your particular situation.
