General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Weight loss, increased appetite, headache, anxiety and nervousness, headache, irregular heart beat, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, increased sensitivity to heat are the side effects of the drug.

Thyroxine is usually prescribed for low levels of thyroid hormone. Incase of the above side effects, the dose can be reduced after looking at the TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone) levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
