Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I had Phase 1 of the Interstim treatment for urine retention 3/16. I was given Ancef 2 gm n OR and started on Cefadroxil twice a day. 3/18 I felt like I was getting a yeast infection so I used Tioconazole 1 (6.5 %) cream last night. Woke up this morning and when I catheterized myself saw that my vulva is very edematous - it hurts to sit and any contact with clothing is uncomfortable. I think I am having a reaction to the Tioconazole. What can I do about this?
The symptoms you are experiencing is possibly due to an allergic reaction to tioconazole. You can take cetirizine 10 mg once daily to help relieve the edema and itching.
Hope I was able to help you Please address further questions here Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
