Does Trileptal Withdrawal Cause Memory Loss?

one of my present doctors recently recommended that I stop taking trileptal for 2 weeks to see if that was causing an allergic reaction. I now have trouble concentrating and my memory is terrible. Is it possible that my stopping the trileptal for that long caused this?

Hello,

It is not related to triplet. If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
