Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have ever always had a high tolerance to pain, but my legs ache most of the time. My feet all the time. The check is so bad that I can hardly walk. Practically brings tears to my eyes. I elevate them which takes the edge off. If I push myself to keep walking my hips down to my knees become numb. This happened gradually with right hip then rest of the leg. Over time they both started aching tremendously. I take heart meds but the Simvistatin is not the culprit as what was suspected. I have a lot of spider veins but Dr said that wouldn t cause it. They kind of shrug it off. But it gets worse as time goes on. I tried Tylenol arthritis which seems to help but I sure would like to have some idea of the reason for the tremendous aching.
Leg ache which starts in hip and then moves to knees followed by numbness can be due to sciatica. Sciatica is a condition wherein there is compression of nerve roots which leads to pain and numbness in area of distribution. I suggest you consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
