Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started running a high fever day before yesterday (102.5). I was able to get it down to 99-100 by alternating tylenol and advil. Yesterday the fever spiked again, this time to 104. Went to prompt care and was swabbed to test for the flu which has since come back as negative. Fought the fever all night which finally broke around 5 am. Now just running low grade fever of 100-101. I started burning on urination last night and started having some frequency as well. The frequency i attributed to the increase of water intake to prevent dehydration due to the fever. Is it normal to run such a high fever due to a UTI? Is there something else going on?
