Does Valproic Acid Treat Muscle Spasms In Legs?

My new doctor prescribed me Valproic ACD CAP 280 mg to take at bedtime. I have muscle spasms in my legs. Is this medicine for this? She never told me and I have a variety of chronic illnesses. When I received the medicine via mobile pharmacy services, it didn t include an insert with detailed info. pertaining to the specific drug. I have sciatica, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, and hip pain, and amnestic syndrome secondary to the removal of collodial cyst. Could this be causing me headaches or the 20 different meds that I m on? Thanks Doctors! Mrs. DJE from Cleveland, Ohio

I really appreciate your concern, valproic has many indications and mainly it is being given for epileptic fits besides this it can be given for nerve pathologies, neurotic pain, I would advise you to have a word with doctor because detail history could be with the doctor with clinical diagnosis, hope this information helps.
