Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
recently i had swollen ankles my doctor called it peripheral edema. the swelling has gone down but i still have tingling in my toes . i followed all doctors advice to raised feet and legs to lower salt in diet. i was taking Viagra once daily also i was on my feet for many hours right before the swelling began. as soon as i noticed the swelling i followed doc orders and swelling went down . why do i now have tingling in my toes and will that diminish in time ? is Viagra a common cause for edema?
Sir I understand your concern for your health condition. No sir Viagra can not cause peripheral edema and tingling sensation. You haven't mentioned about your other medical problems so i could not make out any proper diagnosis. But if you are having diabetes for long time then diabetes itself can cause complications like tingling sensation and kidney related problems causing swelling of feet. I would suggest you to consult your doctor and get it evaluated. Wish you speedy recovery.
