Does Vinlep 300 Cause Sleeping Disorder?

my father had afall in 2011 he is 85 he had demantia he was adminstering vinlep 300 for past 3 years as prescribed by his neuro surgeon. he is hosppitalised for past 29 days due to breathing problem. of late he is discharged. he is suffering from CRF for past 15 years. he is been given for 2 days. He is not sleeping in the night. he develops swooning. is it due to vinlep 300?

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Vinlep 300(Oxcarbazepine) may cause following CNS side effects:
CNS: Dizziness; drowsiness; unsteadiness; confusion; fatigue; speech disturbances; abnormal involuntary movements; peripheral neuritis and paresthesias; -to name a few.
Lack of sleep may be due to azotaemia.
