Does Vyvanse Cause Aggressive And Violent Behaviour?

My 32 yr old son is prescribed vyvanse 20 mg and at times becomes aggresive and violent. There are times he is looking to argue so he can justify his behavior. Is this due vyvanse. I also find pieces of pills through out the house so I m also questioning whether or not he is properly taking this medication. If I ask him anything he gets angry and that leads to more violence and aggression.

Hello,

Your guess is right; Vyvanse drug is reported to cause irritability and aggressive, psychotic behavior in about 6 to 10% patients.

So, please do report these effects to the prescribing physician. Dose reduction or switch over to any alternative drug may be recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
