Hi & Welcome.
Incomplete data: age, gender, etc.
Wysolone (Prednisolone) is a steroid commonly prescribed in the treatment of various inflammatory conditions, allergic conditions and autoimmune diseases like
lupus erythematosus.
Its common side effects include: ulcers in the stomach, high blood glucose, high BP, decrease in
bone density (thinning of the bones), ulcers in stomach, unnecessary hairs, cataract, delayed
wound healing, increased risk of infections and weight gain.
But all these things happen only when this drug is given for several years. What ever the weight gain you have, would decrease or disappear as soon as you tapering the dose and stopping it after few months.
This gradual tapering of the Wysolone dose must be done under close medical supervision in direct guidance of an
endocrinologist. Otherwise it can result in a life threatening complication called
adrenal insufficiency.
You will be perfectly alright in the future.
Hope to have answered your query.
Wishing you best of your health.
