Does A Cortisone Shot Help To Treat Mild Arthritis In The Knee?
58 years old. In August I could not walk I was in a wheelchair for a week. I am still having discomfort in my knee. Primary care dr. put me on Meloxicam and sent me for xray. The xray said spur and slight arthritis. Orthopedic Doctor said his xrays showed no arthritis, no built up fluid...he could find nothing. He put me on OccupationTherapy. It killed my knee. I did this for about 6 weeks. I couldn t stand it any longer. My knee would be on fire at night. I iced it after the therapies. Then Orthopedic Dr. sent me for an MRI. It showed significant arthritis and no spur. He said he could send me for a cortisone shot which I never got yet. Could it be something else??
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your diagnosed arthritis from the MRI after several failed attempt from your treatment I am suggesting that the intra articular injection of cortisol in knee joints will definitely treat the inflammation episode In addition people take tablet Athrotec tablet cerebrex multivitamin capsules Meanwhile if the cortisol injection and the tablet fail to respond you will have to see your orthopaedic surgeon for knee replacement surgery I hope this helps
