Does A Dermoid Ovarian Cyst Cause Hormonal Imbalance?

Can a dermoid ovarian cyst cause hormonal imbalance and/or menstrual irregularities (shortening cycle)? I also have a condition called geographic tongue and have read that hormonal imbalances can contribute to the tongue flare ups. I am wondering if there is a connection. Thank you

Thanks for the query. I have read & understood your query.
Yes, some women with ovarian dermoid cyst do show hormonal imbalance , so it can result in irregular periods.
. But geographic tongue is not known to result from hormonal imbalance.. it runs in families( genetic )
