i am a DM/HTN patient, undergone CABG in the year 2000 and on medication since then prescribed for lifetime;recently during a blood test a slight abnormality of Kidney function was noticed (a slight rise in serum creatinineto 1.5 and potasium to 5.6).my nephrologistsugested that the potasium level be brought down sothat he can start medication for CKD;however he suggested that my BP level which was 140/90 be maintained at 130/80 and advised my cardiologist to prescribe additinal small dose of Amlong to be taken in the night; after taking Amlong 5mg daily at night for 25 days now when i took my BP reading with my own monitor the reading is 140/67;what does this indicate?is Dystalic reading of 67 indicte a low BP?
Hi,
Thanks for query,
Nothing to worry,
Your bp is quite normal, now a days trend to maintain diastolic bp near 80 is recommended.
No worry for your 67 bp,
