Does A Dominant Follicle In Ovary With 7mm Endrometrial Stripe Cause Painful Sex?

I m very worried about the pain I ve been having during and after intercourse. Over the last few months, I ve been cramping severely, even when I m not having my period. Sometimes the pain is so bad that I vomit. I got an ultrasound done but haven t gone over the results with my doctor yet. Can anyone tell me what this means? EXAM: ULTRASOUND PELVIS, TRANSABDOMINAL AND TRANSVAGINAL HISTORY: Pelvic pain. Pain during intercourse. TECHNIQUE: Sonographic imaging was performed utilizing transabdominal and transvaginal approach. COMPARISON: None available. FINDINGS: Uterus measures 8.1 x 5.2 x 3.8 cm. Uterus is anteverted. Myometrium is heterogenous without discrete nodule. Cervix is unremarkable. Endometrial stripe is 7 mm in thickness to be correlated clinically Right ovary measures 2.1 x 1.8 x 1.8 cm. Multiple follicles are noted in the right ovary. Left ovary measures 3.1 x 2.1 x 2.4 cm. A dominant follicle or cyst is noted in the left ovary measuring 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm. No free fluid seen in the pelvis. IMPRESSION: 1. Heterogenous myometrium without discrete nodule. 2. Endometrial stripe is 7 mm in thickness to be correlated with menstrual phase. 3. A 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm cyst or dominant follicle in the left ovary. 4. No free fluid in the pelvis.

The findings in your ultrasound pelvis are normal.the uterus & both ovaries are normal.regarding the pain you complained consult gynaecologist regarding further management.
