Does A Headache Caused By An Injury Require Consultation With The Doctor?

My daughter bumped her left temple on a coffee table 3 days ago. She had a all over headache the first day, now it just hurts on the side of the head where she hit it. her eyes are not dilated. She does feel sick, but she can feel sick when she is nervous and she is nervous that something may be wrong. (we both tend to be slight hypochondriacs). Is there anything we should look for that would say she needs to be seen?

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and plan for a CT scan to rule out possible internal injury (which is unlikely in your case).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
