Does A Moist Looking Skin On Wound Means Poor Healing?

I got an inclusive cyst removed from an area 3 inches behind my right ankle. The doctor sutured the site & told me to keep the site covered with ointment (bacitracin, neosporin or even Vaseline) I noticed the site today is gray colored & moist looking and I'm a dark skinned Africa-American. Does this mean the site is not healing?
