Does A Paralytic Stroke Indicate Shortened Life Expectancy?

My husband had a stroke 6 months ago & is still going for therapy to regain full use of his right arm & leg. I think he is doing amazing he can t use a knife & fork & can sign his name. He gets depressed because he thinks he won t be around to see his grandson grow up. He has diabetes also & is on insulin. Does a stroke necessarily mean that you have shortened your life expectancy?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, for your husband
Let come to the point directly, no stroke does not shorten the life, but one can reach up to the normal life expectancy, physiotherapy is the right treatment for this and of course will power, strong moral, hope this information helps, take care.
