Does A Person Suffering From Diarrhea And Vomiting Require Medical Attention?
Hello, My husband had to leave work early today due to twice, diarrhea and vomiting once. He has not had that happen again since he got home close to 6 1/2 hours ago. Sleeping and very achy. Says he is cold. I am at work and checked on him at lunch a few hours ago and he did not feel hot or feverish. We are thinking maybe stomach flu or food poisoning. I will check for a fever and if he does not have one, as long as he is okay holding down the Gatorade in small doses, do we need to get him into a doctor? Thank you, Karyn B.

Diarrhoea and vomiting suggest gastrointestinal infection probably due to food poisoning.
However, if vomiting and diarrhoea have stopped, there is nothing much to worry.
You may take an antibiotic - Norfloxacin + tinidazole. In, the meantime avoids taking heavy food and light diet is advised.
