Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does a pharmacist have the right to not fill a perscription from a reputable physician? I.e. Soma which I have been on off and on due to a shitty back! I am a status post fusion at L3-4 3 yrs ago. In Sept 2016 I had a laminectomy and foraminotomy. I am a Recovery Roon RN and am just back to work 1 month. Prior to my 1st back surgery I was and still am a chronic pain patient because of severe arhriolosis in my SI joint. I do see a physciatrist for depression, and anxiety. I am on Wellbutrin and lexapro 10mg, and a PRN script for Xanax which I have had for years! Is a matter of fact I've had Pain meds, muscle relaxer and Xanax filled multiple times in the past at the same CVS pharmacy. I've recently been told she wouldn't fill my soma because of my Xanax. I said they are two totally different drugs. She went on to say they can cause respiratory depression. I said YES THEY CAN IF YOU TAKE IT TOGETHER! I've tried multiple muscle relaxers they either don't work or they slam me on my ass and I can't work. If that BIMBO at CVS she could see my history and know that I've had this combination of drugs for years! What's changed ? Lena in So Cal
