Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI I just had a MRI and I have several things wrong with my neck from c-2 to t-3 severe spinal stenosis, and herniated disc and spinal cord compression. I go to a surgeon on July 6th. My question is can the spinal cord compression affect your vision because I ve been having a lot of problems with my vision (I ve been seeing double vision)?

Does A Spinal Cord Compression Affect The Vision?
Hello, No, cervical spine pathologies can not affect vision. Vision is affected by optic nerve pathology which is cranial nerve (originating from brain). So spinal pathology can not cause vision problems. Better to consult an ophthalmologist and get done the detailed retinal examination. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
