Does A Thyroid Nodule Shrink And Disappear On Their Own?
I have a 1.7cm thyroid nodule in my right throat according to my ultrasound??according to the doctor i have to do the biopsy??is it advisable??and i asked him to give me some medicines to elimanate the nodule and so he gave me co amoxiclav augmentin tablets for 7days??is it can really shrink the nodule??please help me..thanks..
Hello, All thyroid nodules really need a biopsy. This is usually done under ultrasound guidance and is called a fine needle aspiration. The reason for this is that 10% of thyroid nodules are cancer and you need to know if you are in that 10%. Hopefully you are not but ignoring it could get you into trouble. The antibiotics are unlikely to have any effect Regards
