Does Abdominal Aorta Enlargement Require A Second Ultrasound After Two Years?

My 69 year old (white) husband just received the results of his abdominal ultrasound. (Probably smoked for 20years, quit 20+ years ago) His abdominal aorta is enlarged at 2.9 cm. His Dr. recommends repeating the ultrasound in 1 or 2 years. Do you concur? YYYY@YYYY
