Does Abdominal Hernia Need Medical Attention?
my husband has had a hernia in lower abdomen and testicle for over 2 years now. It is causing him a lot of pain and is afraid to even eat because it causes so much gas and then he is up and down all night every night having to get rid of gas and going to the bathroom. He has no insurance and has not worked since Nov 2014, he is now 62 years old. Can this be dangerous to keep letting this go like he is. I have tried to tell him that it can cause cancer if it is let go but he will not listen to me.

If it left untreated than Chance of strangulation, obstruction like complications can be there....
So it needs to be surgically reduced for that....
As pain is present don't delay it and nearby surgeon for examination and surgical management...
For gas and constipation isapghula husk with milk can be prescribed
Avoid strenous work...
