My husband has just recently stopped drinking cold turkey after 15 years of very heavy drinking. He is having stomach pain to the point of tears, diareah, dark urine, and drinks water like its going out of style. Is this associated with his abruply quitting drinking or could this be something else?

Yes it leads to alcohol withdrawl if ur consuption is heavy n since long.it include sweting nausea tremor sleep disterbance sometimes hallucinations and convulsion and required treatment
