Does Acid Reflux Cause Nasal Blood Discharge?
When I blow my nose in the morning, I frequently get red blood. Not every morning. I do suffer from acid reflux and the doctor tells me that the acid will actually find its way all the way up into my sinuses. It takes me a few minutes in the morning to clear my chest and knows, but I am finding blood in the tissue. I am not sure if it is related, but the roof of my mouth in the front is tender and sore and when I tried to brush it it bleeds as well. It also makes it painful to eat.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if acid reflux cause nasal blood discharge. Well acid reflux can cause bleeding , but there can be other reasons also like sinusitis , nasal polyp or nasal infection . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , nasal endoscopy and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory decongestant or recommend surgical removal of polyps . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if there is acid reflux problem. For now do warm saline nasal rinses , avoid eating heavy and spicy specially at night .
