Does Acute Bronchitis Cause Throat Pain And Headaches?

My husband was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and was prescribed antibiotics. Is it normal to have a bad sore throat pain on the side of face and headaches. Hurts to the point that he cannot rest well for coughing and pain. Also has Parkinson s disease.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of throat pain and headaches which is due to throat infection due to streptococcus or another reason it could be lower immunity of your body. Body has become more susceptible and prone to get infected with streptococcus which is a very common occurrence. Swelling of lymph nodes along with fever, yellowish sputum , difficulty in breathing all are possible symptoms. I would suggest you to take Recofast plus capsule 3 times a day. Multivitamin rich in vitamin B. Take this course for 3 days you will be better. Do betadine gargles at least 3 times a day. Simply follow this and improve your general immunity. You will be better. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis and prescription. You should go for pulmonary function tests as well to detect extent of infection.

Get Well Soon.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
