Does Acyesis On A Pelvic Scan Indicate Infertility Or Temporary Non-pregnancy?
Hi, please I have the following question: 1. If a pelvic scan reads acyesis does it mean the person is infertile or it means the person isn t pregnant at that particular moment and can still be pregnant. 2. If a pelvic scan is conducted when you are on Day 2 of your period can it signify Haematometrium or it s just the blood fluid of the monthly flow? Please I anticipate a feedback Thanks
Your pelvic scan reads acyesis, meaning that presently you are not pregnant, it is confirming absence of pregnancy. No, it is not suggestive of infertility or sterility. In case you have an increase in abdominal size it is not due to pregnancy but may be related to some other medical condition.
A pelvic scan is done if you have some symptoms & to detect thickened endometrium, fibroid, polyp, etc. It can detect the blood fluid in the monthly flow depending on the type of ultrasound done. Hematometra can be detected. If hematometrium is diagnosed, the treatment of the factor / pathology causing it will be treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
