Hi doctor I want to ask is eating Slate pencil is harmful for us is there any relation between hair lossing actually I am very very used to do it this if I don t eat I will not feel okay so what to do I can t think that I can I will live but is this harmful for me ??
As a physician, I would like to tell you that there is apparently no relation between chalk eating known as Pica and hair loss. I would also like to tell you that, it is not a good habit and you should get evaluated for blood workup and other examinations to determine the cause of your condition.

Eating slate pencil is not good. It causes loss of nourishment and worm infestation. This may indirectly cause hair loss due to less nutrients. Kindly visit a psychiatrist to help you in the addiction.
