Does Adenoid And Tonsils Surgery Cure Sinus Completely?

My Daughter Roshini 9.5 years old Female child suffered from severe cold, cough, fever on and off. Mouth breathing, sinus, veising trouble of cold also. She was diagnosed and advised to do surgery adenoid and tonsills. Is the sinus will go completely or else we need to go for complete review. Pls help

Hello,

Adenoids enlargement may cause decreased ventilation to nasal passages and lead to nose block which may again provoke the sinusitis. Tonsillitis may can cause repeated pharyngitis with eustachian tube block. It is better to get resolve the problem. Drink hot water and soups. Antibiotics may help to cure the problem. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
