Does Alcohol Intake Lead To Elevated Liver Function Results?

I quit drinking completely a year and a half ago. But, on New Year s Eve, I had several mixed drinks. Two weeks later I had liver functions drawn, and AST, protein, and albumen came back elevated. I am doing large amt of exercise. I was also taking prednisone dose pack (4mg for six day taper). Did the alcohol cause this?v

Good day!
Alcoholic hepatitis is very common specially after intake in remission. Concomitant use of steroids have immunosuppressed and provided the platfrom to alcohol for more injury. Seek gastroenterologist and avoid future troubles like this.
