Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description, it sounds like an allergic rash only. In such cases intake of an antihistamine like benadryl along with application of calamine lotion and a mild steroid cream helps. However if the rash is extensive or seems to be progressing then sometimes oral steroid is required too.
Kindly follow your doctor's advise but if no response is seen in few days, please consult your doctor again.
Take care
