Does Ankylosing Spondylitis Cause Fatty Bone Marrow?
I am 43 and have been diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis. I have had three MRI's in the past that showed a lot of degeneration, disk tears (one disk has been replaced), bone spurs, moderate forminal stenosis. My new doctor is concerned that my pain is too severe, I got a part of my new MRI back that says I have "fatty bone marrow" filling my SI joints. Can this be a part of Ankylosing Spondylitis or something else? I go back to my doctor on the 30th. Also all my CBC's are always normal.
