Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My hemoglobin has dropped from 14 to 11 since my last test last year. I am under a great deal of stress for many reasons, mainly my husband who has advanced Parkinsons disease. Does stress/anxiety have anything to do with a drop in hemoglobin? I am not losing weight, I had a pretty normal colonoscopy a year ago with some gastritis and I don t have any bleeding problems. Could this be from stress?
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry to hear about the stress you are going through. I would not relate stress and a low hemoglobin count directly, but maybe your dietary needs have changed and you are not eating as well in relation to stress? Just a thought. I hope that this helps. Good luck
