Does Anxiety Cause Persistent Pain In The Chest And Left Arm?

I am 52 years old. I had chest pain for about 2 weeks, including mild pain in left arm. It got worse one day so I went to the emergency room. Blood tests, echo cardiogram, and stress test were all negative for heart problem and I was released from the hospital. Is it possible for these symptoms to be caused by stress and anxiety?

Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Stress and anxiety are the disorders which can affect your any system in any severity and cardiovascular system is not an exception. I mean to say that stress could be only factor for development of chest pain typical of angina or myocardial infarction.

If you have the constant anxiety or history of panic attacks stress is most likely cause for your experience.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
