Hi Dr., can skipping heartbeats be caused by Anxiety? I do have anxiety for many years, but have managed to keep it under control in the last several months. Lately in the last few weeks, I experience my heart beats irregularly and I notice it skips beat quite often and making me feel very uncomfortable! This is a new symptom to me and I have not had any panic attack for a long time. I couldn t figure why as it s to my knowledge I haven t seen anything that would have triggered it. Could it possibly happen out of blue and last for so many weeks? If it s really due to anxiety, would it be back to normal soon? I have been trying to stay calm but still don t notice any improvement! Anything else I could do? Please comment. Thanks.
