Does Apicolordotic View For The Right Upper Lung For Further Evaluation Mean PTB Recurrence Is A Possibility?

Hi, yesterday i undergo with chest xray and the result says APICOLORDOTIC VIEW FOR THE RIGHT UPPER LUNG FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. i had a PTB Last 2011 and took medication for 6 months. Last 2016 my pulmonologist gave me a fit to work certificate and said that scar will be seen there forever. But it is not infectious. Do i need to worry about the present result of xray now? Or it is just the cured ptb scar? Thanks anyway

Hello,

Tuberculosis is chronic inflammation condition. So, scar formation can occur in tuberculosis as fibrosis occurs. So don't worry about that.

If you have any complaint like dyspnea in future, then consult a pulmonologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
