Does Bleeding After Taking Norethisterone To Delay Period Indicate Any Harm?
Hi, i took norethisterone for 3 days to delay my period whilst on honeymoon. I started bleeding on the 6th October for 5 days. Would i have ovulated two weeks from the 6th or two weeks from my original period date? How would that in turn affect my November period? thank you
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. See, the duration between ovulation and the next period is relatively fixed, though even this might vary. The duration between a period and the ovulation is not that predictable. So you would more likely have ovulated two weeks before your period which you had on the 6th of October. No, your November period would not be affected unless you repeated the drug. However, tracking ovulation retrospectively is never very accurate. It is not recommended to delay your normal periods unless it is an emergency reason. Take care.
