Does Blocked Nostril Causing Extreme Snoring Mean Deviated Septum?

Hi. I can only breathe out one nostril unless the other one is physically held open, i ve read about deviated septums but i don t know if it s that, it s been like this all my life, having just moved in with my girlfriend she says my snoring is very loud and keeps her up i m wondering if my non working nostril might be making my snoring worse? Thanks
