Does Blood Inside Ear After Inserting A Sharp Objects Mean Trouble?

I stabbed my ear with a sharp object. I have problems with my ears itching. I don't really produce wax so my ear canals get dry and scaly. So i took a small pair of scissors and was just rubbing the sides of my ear canals. I'm not sure exactly what happened but I somehow bumped it. I felt sharp pain, and felt like i had to pull the scissors out of my eardrum. I had a tiny bit of blood on a qtip when i checked. Still have pain. Got faint/nauseated. I can hear out of the ear fine though.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have bumped the ear deep with the scissors but in case if you can hear fine and there are less chances of eardrum injury..
But to be confirmed about it you need to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, x ray etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if there is injury to ear canal and no signs of deep injury you need not to worry as it will heal on its own..
In case of perforation to eardrum, small perforation gets resolved with antibiotics, anti inflammatory and decongestant..
In case of large perforation surgical repair that is tympanoplasty may be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
