Does Blood Pressure Increase/decrease When In Pain?

I can t find any information on this anywhere! I think it increases as pain causes stress and stress raises BP but I read somewhere that is lowers BP :-( Help!! Post surgery pain, mainly abdominal, gasto-intestinal etc

Pain can increase B.P. but shock will lower it, sometimes catastrophically. Pain will cause shock if trauma is severe enough
