Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure reading is 103 35 and my resting heart rate is between 47 and 52. I am 52 years old weight 130 lbs. I exercise 5 days a week for an hour each day. I recently had to have a hysterectomy and had to have a blood transfusion prior to surgery because my hemoglobin was only 6. I still feel pretty weak and wonder if my blood pressure indicates I still may have low blood? Or, does blood pressure have anything to do with your blood count?
Hi, Blood pressure doesn't do anything with blood counts. They both are not inter-related. Blood pressure is related to blood volume though. Until you loose much blood, your blood volume is not altered, as minimal loss in blood doesn't alter the blood volume much as body tried to synthesize it in 2 to 3 days. Thanks.
