Does Celexa Have Side Effects Or Withdrawal Issues?

Hi looking for help for my 21 year old son, suffers from chronic anxiety and and now depression. has been for three years now I think medication is needed. I take paxil but wonder why people thinks it s bad for side effects. Does celexa have no side effects or withdrawal issues?

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
Paxil is indeed a wonderful drug for both depression and anxiety. I use it as a first line in anxiety disorders. Celexa is also a good drug and like paxil it is also an SSRI acting on the serotonin receptors. It doesnt have significant side-effects and it needs to be withdrawn gradually. Like any SSRI both these drugs can cause nausea, vomiting etc.
