My 20 month old daughter wieghts 22lbs has the chicken pox...her left eye lid is extremely red and swollen with a blister on the outer corner of the lid (it is almost shut) is this okey? Is this going to effect her vision? Does she need to avoid direct sunlight? I'm just very concerned and worried.
chickenpox has also affect eye. there may be eruption over eyelid and conjunctiva. however with regression the eye involvement will improve. eye should cleaned with sterile swab. can apply antibiotic eye drop to prevent secondary infection. maintain hydration. maintain hygiene of body. apply caladryl lotion when scabs dry up and fall.
