Does Clear Sticky Vaginal Discharge Indicate Ovulation?

Hi, I need to know if I have passed ovulation? My ovulation date is 24th May as per the 28 day cycle. I have BD on 18th May and I feel there is a clear watery sticky discharge on 19th May. Is it because of the intercourse or because of the ovulation. I am trying to conceive a girl so did not want to have BD on or just before the ovulation.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The discharge is usually thick when you are not ovulating and as your body approaches ovulation, it becomes more creamy, thin and watery. A slippery, wet and stretchy like 'egg white' discharge is usually seen during ovulation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
