Does Conceiving While Suffering From Typhoid Cause Any Defects In The Baby?

I had typhoid which was treated by antibiotics. But even after that i continued having low grade fever ranging from 99.0 to 99.5 for a month and still continues.Recently i have come to know that i have conceived. Is there anything to be worried about? Will it be affecting the baby?

Hello and welcome
To Healthcaremagic.com.

After reading your query throughly It seems to me that you have continuous mild fever during early stage of pregnancy.

Yes, high grade fever leads to certain certain defects of fetus like related to heart and brain and even Clift lip or Clift palate.

But you have mild fever and also controlled by medication.

You need to visit a general physician and even Gynecologist for proper consultation.

During mean time you must take paracetamol to keep your fever under control.

In your case my opinion will be that mild increase will not lead to any defect in fetal life.

Hope it will help you and you will write to us further if you feel necessary.
