Does Condom Provide Complete Protection Against Pregnancy?

Me and my boyfriend recently had sex for the first time. We used a condom and we checked to see if the condoms had any holes in them by putting water in it. there were no holes. And everything went fine hopefully but I m very scared that I might get pregnant and it s stressing me out that I might not get my period

Hello! Thank you for writing us here.
Well a condom do provide good protection against pregnancy but still you have 1% chances of getting pregnant if a condom provides 99% protection. I'm expecting that the condom didn't break while intercourse and the day you had the intercourse was not in middle of your mensural cycle, you have least chances of getting pregnant.
Don't worry okay? If you're still worried and you had the intercourse within 72 hours, you can take an emergency pill too if you're still doubtful. But what I'm suspecting is you're less likely to be pregnant.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
