Does Consuming Alcohol Elevate Fbs Levels?

I was wondering if I drank alcohol Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and went in to test my FBS and HGBA1C Monday morning, would it elevate my numbers? I am 43 and work out 4 times a week doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so I am good shape. All my other panels were good and with in range except this test and my lipid panel My FBS was 125 My HGBA1C 5.8

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern But consuming alcohol before this time does not increase your fbs level. Your hba1c level indicate your sugar control of last three months. So it is affected by last three month sugar level.
Your fbs level is borderline and hba1c is normal. So you need to repeat your blood sugar after a month. Just take anti diabetic diet and repeat the test after a month. No need to take medicine right now.
